Okayama Banner 2 - Historically, Sister Cities were paired because of similar characteristics in the hope of fostering cultural bonds. Both Okayama and San Jose share a background in agriculture -- orchards of peaches, plums and cherries. The banners welcomed a delegation from Japan and were displayed throughout downtown San Jose in March 2007.

Obon Festival - To promote San Jose's Japantown Obon Festival and traditional dance practices, Rasteroids created this colorful, eye-catching flyer and distributed it throughout the South Bay. The result was successful -- a 30% increase in participation (over 1,000 dancers), and a marked increase in festival turnout from all previous years.

Rasteroids designed the "kimono" front-and-back banners displayed year-round in San Jose's Japantown. The banners distinguish 'J-Town,' one of three remaining in the United States, from other downtown districts.
