RASTEROIDS IS A WEBSITE + GRAPHIC DESIGN COMPANY
Banner Design
Rasteroids designed these banners to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Sister City Agreement between Okayama, Japan and San Jose, California. The banners welcomed a delegation from Japan and were displayed throughout downtown San Jose in March 2007.
Banner Design
Historically, Sister Cities were paired because of similar characteristics in the hope of fostering cultural bonds. Both Okayama and San Jose share a background in agriculture -- orchards of peaches, plums and cherries. The banners welcomed a delegation from Japan and were displayed throughout downtown San Jose in March 2007.
Poster Design
To promote San Jose's Japantown Obon Festival and traditional dance practices, Rasteroids created this colorful, eye-catching flyer and distributed it throughout the South Bay. The result was successful -- a 30% increase in participation (over 1,000 dancers), and a marked increase in festival turnout from all previous years.
Banner Design
Rasteroids designed the "kimono" front-and-back banners displayed year-round in San Jose's Japantown. The banners distinguish 'J-Town,' one of three remaining in the United States, from other downtown districts.
Collateral Design
sjDANCEco was founded in 2003 to facilitate the need for contemporary dance and artistry in the San Francisco South Bay. Rasteroids designed the promotional collateral for the conclusion of their Fall Concert Series, a 5th Anniversary Best of sjDANCEco performance at the San Jose Repertory Theatre.
Postcard Design
Rasteroids created all the postcards for sjDANCEco's 5th season performances at San Jose State University.
Brochure Design
Rasteroids donated this brochure design to benefit the Japantown neighborhood of San Jose. The district is home to the South Bay's best Japanese restaurants, specialty shops, and historic landmarks, yet remains largely unrecognized by the rest of the city. The brochure was distributed to tourist centers and hotels, and serves as a directory to the neighborhood's amenities.
Brochure Design
For a flute summer master class series directed toward high-school youths, Rasteroids designed a bright, abstract brochure and application. Displayed at several South Bay music studio locations, the number of applicants far exceeded class size.
Newsletter Design
Rasteroids has designed The Stone Clinic's annual newsletter for four consecutive years. The Stone Clinic is at the forefront of research and advancing techniques for orthopaedic joint surgery.
Brochure Design
Rasteroids designed a trifold brochure to advertise the Areon Flute Institute's master classes in Northern and Southern California.
